⚫ 소개:
근·현대 영미드라마, 세계연극사, 공연학 및 공연비평 일반을 가르치고 연구한다. 문학, 연극사, 문화연구의 통섭 및 텍스트-콘텍스트 간극읽기(text-context interplay) 연구방법론을 지향한다. 영미드라마의 현대성 고찰과 작품 발굴 및 문화사적 재조명이 주된 관심 분야이다. 특히 아메리카 신대륙 발견 이후부터 독립전쟁기와 남북전쟁기를 거쳐 20세기 초반 현대미국드라마의 태동에 이르는 미국초기드라마(Early American Drama)가 주된 관심 영역이다.
Jungman PARK specializes in modern British and American drama, world theatre history, performance studies and criticism in general. His research interests include early American drama and theatre (prior to 20C), Korean theatre history, cultural studies on American national identity, text-context interplays in theatre and drama, and historico-cultural reading of texts.
